COVID 19 is the most famous keyword in entire world wide. The impact of this virus is something historical. As people in creative industry we decided to create something useful for social and people around us.
Work From Home?
Based on the latest data, most of companies support "WORK FROM HOME" movement. Google has confirmed to ask their employee for working at home until this end of year. Therefore, we agreed to share tips for composing "work mood" into your room at home. BADA will share tips from architect and interior side. Meanwhile us, as always will share to you about how important lighting in this curent situation.
Good Lighting Is Everything

1. Too Much?
Here is the example of the common mistake that we used to think as good lighting which is, bright.
But as the result, you don't have any ambiance at all. Too much or lack of lighting level (too dark) can make your eyes strain easily which effect your productivity.

You have task and ambiance lighting at the same time.
It would be perfect if you can apply dimmable lights so you can create a larger variety of scenes.

3. Becareful!
Yes, in order to have a good lighting you have to consider the light placement as well.
Here is the example, you will create glare and bad shadows. Not really ideal for video conference call.
4. Yes, decorative!
You can use your decorative pendants as task lighting! But becareful when choosing your pendant, select one which gives focused light and a minimum amount of glare.
5. Specification matter!
If you choose the wrong light, it may become too focused on the center of the table. Too much contrast around your range, easily makes you eyes tired. You can see the dark spot on your table and in some areas around the room.
I bet you will not be able to work more than 30 minutes in this situations.
Light up other lamp surrounding your working area! The advantage of using dimmer system, that you can control the surrouding lights to be dimmed down. Contrast is good, but not for working. We'll have another coure coming up, explaining contrast in lighting.
